The web is the place where you can find news, contents and information and it changed the method of providing information, today no longer an exclusive of the traditional media, but more and more involved and participatory and created by the users. Search engines play an essential role, without their contribution would be almost impossible to find information.
The importance of Internet was discussed during a debate at the Auditorium in Rome on the theme "Where we bring the web," in which Nicholas Negroponte, founder of the Media Lab of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has argued for the an Internet free and for all over the world; he also says that Internet should win the Nobel Peace Prize 2010, in the person of of the three Internet's Vinton Cerf, Tim Berners-Lee and Larry Roberts; nominations will be presented next February.
The candidacy of the Web for the Nobel Peace comes at a particularly significant because it coincides with the tug of war between Google and China about the Protection of Human Rights, which has prompted the search engine most famous of the world not to accept the filter Censors on the results of the Chinese version.
